The Franciacorta Outland
This term, originally belonged to the monks of Cluny, Our land is identified.
Discovering a WONDERFUL land, bounded on the north by the shores of Lake Iseo and the last ramifications of the Rhaetian Alps, which divide the Vallecamonica from Valtrompia; east by gentle rolling hills of the moraine formed during the Ice Age presumably as a result of glaciers, on the west bank of the Oglio river and south of the famous Mountain Orphan.
Here we can see the hills covered with vineyards and enriched by small rural houses scattered here and there, churches and monasteries perched on the hills, towers of medieval villages, sixteenth-century palaces, historic houses and ancient noble eighteenth-century farmsteads, this is Our Land, this is FRANCIACORTA.
